Terms of use
The rules of the arena.
Pike is a free hobby project run by one person for small groups of friends. These terms say what you can expect from it and what it expects from you.
1. What Pike is
Pike is a web app at app.pike90.app run by Daniel Granzer, Vienna, Austria (info@pike90.app). It lets a group of friends run a 90-day fitness league: log training, submit workouts with proof, keep measurements and photos, follow a scoreboard and, optionally, keep an alcohol ledger.
Pike is free, has no paid tier, no ads and no commercial purpose. It is provided as a hobby, in its current state, and can change or stop at any time (see section 8).
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Pike.
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in to yourself; what happens under your account is on you.
- Use your real first name or a name your friends know you by. Pike has no public profiles, so nobody outside your league sees it.
- You can delete your account at any time under Me. Everything under it goes with it, immediately.
3. Leagues and the commissioner
Whoever creates a league is its commissioner. The commissioner sets the start date, quota and rules, hands out the invite code, verifies or disputes workouts, drops the weekly side quest, opens and seals the vault and can remove members.
By joining a league you agree that its members see what you log into it: workouts with proof, measurements as scores, test results, ledger nights unless hidden, reactions and, once the vault opens, your neck-down silhouettes labelled with a letter. Share an invite code only with people you want on that board.
The commissioner decides whom to send the vault link to. Anyone with the link can view lettered silhouette pairs and vote until the vault is sealed.
4. Your content
Everything you upload stays yours. You give Pike the right to store it and show it to your league, and to the holders of a vault link in the form described above, for as long as it is on the service. Nothing you upload is used for anything else.
You are responsible for what you upload. In particular:
- Proof photos and clips must be of your own training. Do not upload other people in a way they would not want; if someone is recognisable, make sure they are fine with your league seeing them.
- Progress photos are framed neck-down by design. Keep them that way. No nudity.
- No content that is illegal, hateful, harassing or infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not fake proof, tamper with tests or otherwise game the score. The league is only fun if the board is honest. The commissioner can dispute and remove anything, and the operator can remove content or accounts that break these rules.
5. Health and safety
Pike is a scoreboard, not a coach and not a doctor. It gives no medical, nutritional or training advice. The targets it suggests are arithmetic on your own numbers.
Training, strength tests and the ramp test are strenuous. You take part at your own risk, decide for yourself what your body can do, and check with a doctor if you are unsure. Stop when something hurts.
The Dionysus ledger counts drinks; it does not judge, advise or set limits. It is not a tool for managing alcohol use. If drinking is a problem for you, talk to a professional.
6. Fair use of the service
- Do not try to access other leagues, other athletes' data or the backend in any way the app does not offer.
- Do not overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or upload malware.
- Do not use Pike for anything commercial without asking first.
7. Privacy
How Pike handles your data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. Note in particular that measurements, tests, photos and the ledger are health data, which you enter voluntarily and can delete at any time, by leaving the league or deleting your account.
8. Availability and changes
Pike is maintained by one person in their free time. It is offered as is, without any promise that it is always available, free of errors, or that data is never lost. Take a screenshot of the board you are proud of.
Features, scoring rules and these terms can change. Meaningful changes are announced in the app, and a running season keeps the rules it started with wherever that is technically reasonable.
If Pike shuts down, members are told in the app and by email at least 30 days ahead, with time to export their data by asking for it.
9. Liability
Pike is free and non-commercial. To the extent the law allows, the operator is liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Liability for injury to life, body or health, and any liability that cannot be excluded under Austrian law, remains untouched. Mandatory consumer protection rules apply where they are more favourable to you.
The operator is not liable for content uploaded by members, for the decisions of a commissioner, or for the outcome of a season.
10. Ending the relationship
You can stop using Pike at any time and delete your account under Me (section 2). The operator can suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where that is reasonable, or immediately for serious cases such as faked proof or abusive content.
11. Law
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Sales Convention. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, the mandatory protections of your home country still apply, and you may also bring claims there.
