Pike

Scoring · the full rulebook

Points for
improvement only.

This is everything the engine does with your numbers, in plain English. The same rules live in a pure TypeScript package with tests, so what you read here is what the board computes.

The pillars

1,000 Omni-Points, five ways to earn them

Relative strength · 200

Your strength test is one set of 1 to 12 reps on your track. Pike turns it into an estimated one-rep max with the Epley formula, divides by bodyweight, and compares that ratio to Day 1. For weighted pull-ups your bodyweight counts as lifted load, so +0 kg at 80 kg bodyweight is a ratio of 1.0 and +20 kg is 1.25.

Conditioning · 200

The ramp test: run from 8 km/h adding 1.5 km/h every two minutes, or cycle from 100 W adding 30 W every two minutes, until you tap out. Seconds survived is the number. Improvement since Day 1 is what scores. Optional pulse counts at tap-out and after two minutes seated are stored for your own curiosity.

Habit and consistency · 200

Each counted week yields verified workouts over quota, capped at 1. The pillar is the mean over counted weeks times 200, plus side-quest bonus and Temperance bonus, clamped at the cap. A week counts once it ends, or the moment you hit the quota, so a strong Wednesday banks the week early.

Workhorse · 100

Every closed week is worth an equal slice of 100. Members are ranked by verified Work Units; first takes the whole slice, second half of it, third a fifth. Ties share a rank. The running week shows a live rank and pays nothing until it closes, so a late push can still take it.

Body recomposition · 300

Two measurements, fasted and in the morning: weight and waist at the navel. Improvement is 60 % waist change and 40 % weight change, with the weight term signed by your goal: lean out or build mass. 200 points come from the Day-90 measurement; the last 100 come from the blind vault vote. A preview appears after Day 45 once you retest; only the final measurement counts toward the total.

Fairness

The z-score rule

Every pillar that measures improvement ranks that improvement inside the league instead of paying a fixed rate.

Average improvement

Exactly the league mean takes half the pillar.

cap ÷ 2

Two standard deviations above

The full pillar. Above that is still the full pillar.

cap

Two standard deviations below

Never negative. Nothing in Pike takes points away.

0

Alone on the board

A single member, or a perfectly equal league, sits at half.

cap ÷ 2

The spread is configurable per league. Commissioners who want a steeper board can tighten it; the default of two standard deviations keeps a strong week from swinging the season.

Work Units

Minutes times effort, and nothing else

1 WU

One minute at RPE 1. A 45-minute run at RPE 6 is 270 WU; a brutal 75-minute leg day at RPE 8 is 600.

750

The cap on a single session: 90 minutes at RPE 8. A four-hour stroll cannot buy the week.

100

The minimum load for a workout to count toward the quota, about 20 hard minutes. The commissioner can set it anywhere from 0 to 750.

Default RPE by kind when you skip the picker: lift 7, cardio 6, sport 7, mobility 3. Sessions below the minimum load are still logged, still shown in the feed and still count for the Workhorse bounty; they just don’t tick a quota square.

Streaks, slumps and chips

What happens when you stop

Streak

Counted over your scheduled training days only. Any trained day counts, scheduled or not; an untrained scheduled day breaks it; rest days are skipped and never break it. Today only marks it open or at risk.

Slump

Two scheduled training days pass with nothing logged. The gladiator slouches, flies circle the helmet, the league gets a push. Any workout clears it instantly. Today is never counted as missed.

Battle chips

One per completed week that missed the quota. Pauldron voxels are knocked out, the chest cracks, the neon core flickers through the next week. Cosmetic, permanent for the season, and visible to everyone.

The five stats

What the gladiator reads

Separate from the points, the gladiator carries five 0 to 100 stats. They shape the body, unlock gear at 60 and light the core.

Strength

Your strength ratio on a per-track ladder: deadlift 0.5 to 2.5, squat 0.5 to 2.25, bench 0.3 to 1.5, weighted pull-up 0.8 to 2.0.

0–100

Cardio

Ramp survival: four minutes is 0, twenty minutes is 100.

0–100

Core

50 at baseline, plus five points per 1 % recomposition improvement.

0–100

Vitality

Verified workouts this week over quota. Resets every week. Halved the day after a heavy night.

0–100

Grit

Streak × 8, sessions in the last 14 days × 4, records in the last 30 days × 6, plus side-quest bonus.

0–100

OVR is the mean of the five. Apex is every stat above 75: the crest, the acid edge, sparks off the core.

Awarded on the final day, worn forever
