Pike

Questions

Things your friends
will ask

Who is Pike for?

A handful of friends who want to train for ninety days and argue about it. Two people works. Six is loud. There are no public leagues, no strangers and no followers.

Does the strongest person always win?

No. Every pillar scores improvement against your own Day-1 numbers and ranks that improvement inside the league. A beginner who adds 20 % to their deadlift ratio out-scores a veteran who adds 5 %.

What if I do sport instead of gym?

Football, climbing, padel, boxing: any session with a duration and an effort counts. Work Units are minutes times RPE, so a hard match and a heavy leg day land on the same board. A workout needs 100 WU, about 20 hard minutes, to count toward the weekly quota.

Do I need a smartwatch?

No. Pike never reads a wearable. Effort is your session RPE on a 1 to 10 scale, and the proof is a photo. That's the whole point: nothing to sync, nothing to fake.

What happens if I miss a week?

Your consistency credit for that week is lost, your gladiator picks up a battle chip and its core flickers. Miss two scheduled training days in a row and it slumps until you log anything. Nothing ever goes negative.

Can I join a season that already started?

No. Joining closes on Day 1 so everyone is measured against the same window. Start the next one; your gladiator and your lifting history carry over.

Is the Dionysus ledger mandatory?

The ledger is always there for you personally. Whether it touches the league is the commissioner's call: with Dionysus mode on, dry and light weeks earn capped Temperance points and ledger quests join the Monday pool. It never subtracts.

Who sees my photos?

Your baseline, Day-45 and Day-90 silhouettes stay private until the vault opens on the final day. They're framed neck-down, so even then there is no face. Judges see letters, never names. Workout proofs are visible to your league only.

Is it free?

Yes. Pike was built for four friends and runs on the same setup for yours. No ads, no subscriptions, no upsell.

Which phones?

Android via the APK on this site, or as an installed web app. iPhone via Safari's Add to Home Screen. It also runs in any modern browser at app.pike90.app.

How many people can be in a league?

There is no hard cap, but the design assumes two to eight. The z-score rule needs at least two people to mean anything, and the vault vote needs two athletes with Day-1 and Day-90 front photos.

What does the commissioner control?

The season name, the start date (locked once it begins), the weekly quota from 1 to 7, the minimum workout load from 0 to 750 WU, the reaction emojis, the fairness spread, Dionysus mode, disputed workouts, forcing a side quest, and opening and sealing the vault.

Can I use kilograms and my friend pounds?

Yes. Everything is stored in kilograms and shown in your unit, so switching never rewrites history and two people in the same league can read the board differently.

What if two people tie for a trophy?

They share it. Ties in the weekly Workhorse ranking share the rank as well.

Does my training data survive the season?

Yes. Sessions, routines, records and your gladiator are yours, independent of any league. The league is a layer on top. Start the next season and the lifetime log keeps counting.

What happens on a rest day?

Nothing. Streaks only look at the training days you scheduled in settings, so a rest day never breaks one. The slump check ignores rest days too.

Can I log a workout I did yesterday?

Yes, from Train, under Log past. Up to a year back for your own log, and back to Day 1 for the league. Proof is still required for the league copy.

Do I have to take the photos?

For the league, yes: three neck-down silhouettes at Day 0, 45 and 90 are what make the vault vote possible. They are private until the vault opens, and even then judges see letters, not names.

What about push notifications?

Optional, per device. They cover slumps (yours and your friends'), the Monday bounty, a streak nudge at 20:00 on a training day, the Sunday week in review and the end of the season.

Where is the data stored?

On a Convex backend in the EU region, behind Clerk sign-in. Photos are stored as private files that only your league can load. There are no analytics trackers on the app.
